I totally appreciate your viewpoint. I guess my stance is that regardless of frustration with the MSM, we cannot live without it. Anyone else practicing any kind of writing, citizen journalism or otherwise, outside of the MSM need paid journalists who can go in and report on issues, which then becomes primary source material for others to reference. While I understand the system is flawed and can definitely be biased, people still need to read it. The simple fact that Caitlin is telling people how to get around paying for it is proof in point.
If the MSM fails and the industry crumbles because of it, as is already happening, where will the news come from? How will anyone produce investigative journalism if no one is prepared to pay to support those journalists and the editors that manage their content?
It’s a dire situation…
